06/24/2008 ~ The 18 National team leaves for Dallas Texas on Wednesday. The team will be competing at the Junior Olympic Nationals from Thursday through Sunday. 06/13/2008 - Show your support for the 18 National team who will doing a car wash on Saturday, June 21st. The car wash will be held at Hy Vee (7117 North Prospect ~ Gladstone), starting at 10am. Come by and get your car washed and wish the team good luck at Nationals!!

04/13/2008 - Congratulations to the 18 National team who secured a bid to Nationals in Dallas, Texas. The team performed well on Saturday, finishing 1st in their pool. The ladies came out strong, and determined, on Sunday. The semi-final match was close, but the North Stars prevailed. In the final match, the team never stopped, bringing home the Gold medal and a bid to the National tournament. The team will compete in Dallas from June 26 - June 29th. Congratulations to the team: Britany, Katelyn, Sami, Caitlyn, Sarah, Darcy, Delaney, Vanessa, Coaches Lindsey and Ashley. Good Luck at Nationals!!

Congrats to all the North Stars teams on a great season!! The North Stars staff would like to thank the parents for all you have done. You have been great support of your daughters, the team and the club. We could not do this with out you! Players, we have enjoyed working with each and every one of you. We wish you the best of luck in the upcoming school season, and look forward to having you back next season. Go North Stars!!

04/08/2008 - Many North Stars teams were in action this past weekend. Some of the highlights... the 14 Regional team competed in Springfield on Saturday. The team had some great matches, finishing 3rd out of 16 teams!! Nice job! The 16 National team competed on Sunday at JCGAA. The team had a great day....with a complete "healthy" team. The did well, finishing in 3rd. Way to go! Many teams competed in the American Volleyball Challenge at Bartle Hall. To see those results, check out the tournament page.

Next weekend, all teams will be competing in the Heart of America Regionals. Good luck to all North Stars teams!!

03/30/2008 - North Stars teams did great this weekend!! On Saturday, the 15 National team played at BVAC. The team went undefeated in pool play, losing a close final match, to bring home 2nd place. Way to play!! On Sunday, the 16 National team played at BVAC. The team played well, even though they were down some players due to injuries. The ladies pulled it together, and brought home the silver medal. Nice job!! The 12 National team played at SportZone. The team had some great matches, and finished strong with 2nd place. Keep up the good work!! The 15 Regional team also competed at SportZone. The team had some great matches, bringing them into the finals. The ladies played a great match, bringing home the Silver medal. Way to go North Stars!! Keep it up!

03/02/2008 - North Stars teams bring home the GOLD!! North Stars 13 National played on Saturday at BVAC. The ladies played some great matches throughout the day. The ladies and coaches could not be more excited about their 1st place finish!! Nice job! The North Stars 17 National team played in Nevada, MO on Saturday. The team came out strong and never looked back. The ladies got the job done and brought home a 1st place finish!! Way to go ladies! The North Stars 15 National played in the Zoom Invitational (16G) on Sunday. The team was unstoppable. The team finished in 1st place, with a 10-0 record. Great job North Stars!!

02/20/2008 - Way to go North Stars 12 National. The team played at BVAC this past weekend, and came home with 2nd place!! Awesome job! North Stars had many teams competing at the President's Day Classic in Omaha this past weekend. The 18 National team, playing with 7 players, finished 5th overall. The team only had two losses the entire weekend....both to teams who finished in the top 3. Nice job ladies. The 16 National team had a rough start, but came back on Sunday and Monday ready to play. The ladies finished strong, winning their bracket. North Stars 16 Regional team had a slow start on Saturday, but came back the following day ~ ready to play. The ladies finished with a 33rd finish overall. 15 National had a tough day on Saturday, but came together, as a team, on Saturday & Sunday. The ladies were undefeated on Sunday. They played a great final match on Monday, just coming up short in the end. 15 Regional team had a slow start, but picked up their play as the weekend progressed. The team finished in 23rd place. 14 National team was short some players this weekend, due to illness....but pulled it together. The team rallied together to finish in 18th place. North Stars 13 National came out slow on Saturday, but picked up their game on Sunday. The ladies played together as a team, and let no one get in their way. The team finished in 21st place....winning their bracket. Nice job North Stars.

01/21/2008 - North Stars 18 National team competed in the Springfield Winterfest on Saturday. The team dominated, finishing first in pool. The team played a stong final match, just coming up short in the third game against Springfield Jr 181. Congrats on the second place finish!! The 14 National team secured a spot in the Power League on Saturday. Good Luck in the upcoming play dates.

01/14/2008 - The North Stars tournament season is underway. Last weekend the 18 National team secured a spot in the Power League. Good luck to them in the next two play dates. This past weekend the 16 National team also secured a spot in the Power League. Congrats also go out to the 16 Regional team who took 2nd place in the Topeka Juniors Invitational. The team played great! Kudos are also due to the 14 National team, who played in the 15 Gold division, at the Topeka Juniors Invitational. The team played some great matches and finished 3rd overall. Way to go ladies! North Stars 12 National team had a great day, as well. The team finished 2nd in the consolation bracket at the Topeka Juniors Invitational. Nice job ladies!!

12/13/07 - Congratulations to Sami Franiuk (18 National) who has committed to play volleyball at Pittsburg State University in the fall.

11/20/07 - Congratulations to Mindi and Derick Shupe (15 Regional coaches) on the birth of their baby girl. Teagan Lei Shupe was born today at 5:00pm, weighing 6.5 lbs. Mom, Dad, and baby are doing great!

11/11/07 - We would like to thank all the players and parents who came out for try outs. We had a great turn out and are looking forward to another great season!

11/08/07 - Congratulations goes out to Sami Franiuk (Tonganoxie HS) for her 3rd place finish at State!! Sami was also named to the All-State tournament team and 1st team All State. Congrats also go out to the following players for their honors ~ Delaney Ralston (Oak Park HS): MO-KAN All Star Match participant, 1st team all district, 1st team all region, 2nd team all conference. Darcy Ralston (Oak Park HS): 1st team all district, 2nd team all region, honorable mention all conference. Sarah Niemann (Oak Park HS): 2nd team all district, 2nd team all conference, honorable mention all region. Laura Eller (Park Hill South): 2nd team all conference.

08/19/07 - Congratulations to all the North Stars players who just finished volleyball tryouts for school!! We look forward to watching you play in the upcoming school season.

Tryout dates have been set for the 2007-08 volleyball season. Tryout times will be posted soon. We are putting the finishing touches on the coaching staff..and will have that updated soon.

We will be hosting Open Gym again this season. It will be held in October (check back for additional infomation).
