	18 National Coach: Laura Tomney (Board Member) · Laura has been coaching with our club for 18 years. She has coached the 10's through 18's teams with much success. Over the past 10 years, Laura has qualified and taken a team to Nationals seven times. She has led many of her teams to the championship game of many tournaments. Her teams have finished the season ranked in the Top 10 of their age division. Laura has received many coaching awards within our club including the North Stars Award for Coaching Excellence, as well as Coach of the Year. Laura has a passion for coaching and is instrumental in the business aspect of the club. 	18 Regional Coach: Emily Klassen ~ Emily's 4th year in the program. Emily started with the club as a player...where she played for 6 years before going to college. Emily has coached with the North Stars one previous year. She also has four years of coaching with Gladstone Parks and Rec. Emily graduated from Northwest Missouri State with a teaching degree. 	17 National Coach:Richard Bridges ~ This is Richard·s 13th year with the club. He has coached the 15, 16, 17, and 18 teams. Richard and his teams have had many accomplishments, including partipating in Nationals three times. 	17 National Coach: Arynn Nease ~ We are excited to have Arynn join our coaching staff. Arynn is a former North Stars player who received a volleyball scholarship to Savannah College of Art and Design. While at SCAD she was the Libero for the team, as well as the Team Captain for 2 years. During her 4 years at SCAD the team was Regional Champs three years. 	16 National Coach: Courtney Smith ~ We are excited to have Courtney join our coaching staff. Courtney played with the club in High School. After High School Courtney received a full scholarship to play volleyball at Missouri Valley College. Courtney has been coaching for the past four years. Courtney enjoys working with players on the core fundamentals no matter what the age. She believes that positive attitude along with positive reinforcement are the basis of every great team. Elsey is from Springfield Missouri where she played club volleyball for Club 417 and Midwest Explosion. Elsey continued playing volleyball in college at SBU in Bolivar Missouri (2 years) and William Jewell the past two years. 	16 Regional Coach: Tim Ziegler ~ Tim joins on our coaching staff with all kinds of coaching experience. Tim grew up playing Soccer, Hockey, Basketball and Volleyball. He has coached Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball. 	12 National Coach: Renna Moore ~ This is Renna's 3rd year with the club, coaching the 10's. Renna wants players to succeed as a volleyball player, but also learning life lessons as individuals, and showing great sportsmanship as a team to everyone and to the sport. Her approach is to create a positive, fun environment that allows the players to develop within a team. Smiling and having fun are expected from all players! 	Coach Lindsey Hood (Zerr) - A well known coach in the Kansas City Area. Lindsey has 12 years coaching experience; 10 years club, currently the Varsity coach as Park Hill High School, 2 years at Staley HS, 3 years Oak Park High School, 1 year collegiate (Colgate). During the 2008 season, Lindsey's team won Regionals and competed at Nationals in Texas. Lindsey attained numerous honors in both high school and collegiate.
