18 National Coach/Age Group Coach: Lindsey Hood (Zerr) - A well known coach in the Kansas City Area. Lindsey has 9 years coaching experience; 7 years club, currently the JV coach as Staley High School, 3 years Oak Park High School, 1 year collegiate (Colgate). During the 2008 season, Lindsey's team won Regionals and competed at Nationals in Texas. Lindsey attained numerous honors in both high school and collegiate. 18 National Asst. Coach: Boomie Williams ~ We are excited to have Boomie join the North Stars coaching staff. Boomie is currently attending Rockhurst University, where she is playing volleyball. Boomie received many different honors during her high school career including: Lettered four years in volleyball and softball ...   18 Regional Coach: Derick White ~This is Derick's second year with the North Stars. Derick currently is a assistant coach with the UMKC volleyball program. Derek has been coaching since 2004. Derick has coached at the collegiate level, as well as high school and club. Derick graduated from Missouri Southern State University where he played baseball. 17 National Coach: Richard Bridges ~ This is Richard·s 11th year with the club. He has coached the 15, 16, 17, and 18 teams. Richard and his teams have had many accomplishments, including partipating in Nationals three times. 16 National Coach: Phil Klassen (Board Member) - This is Phil's 7th year with the club. Phil helped coach a team to Nationals last season. Phil has coached developmental volleyball for 9 years. 16 National Coach: Laura Tomney (Board Member) · Laura has been coaching with our club for 15 years. She has coached the 13, 14, 16, 17 and 18 teams with much success. Over the past 8 years, Laura has qualified and taken a team to Nationals 6 times. She has had many other team accomplishments including: 3rd place Regionals ('05), 2nd place Regionals ('04), competed in the Vegas Invitational ('04), 2nd place Sport 2 Sport BIG ('04), 2nd place Regionals (·03), 5th place Crossroads Qualifier (·01), 2nd place Regionals (·01), 3rd place Northern Lights Qualifier (·99), 3rd place Minnesota Festival (·99), 8th place Asics Nationals (·99), 1st place Regional Champs (·97), 1st place March Madness (·97). Laura has received many coaching awards within our club including the North Stars Award for Coaching Excellence, as well as Coach of the Year. Laura has a passion for coaching and is instrumental in the business aspect of the club. 15 National Coach: Missy Larson - Missy has been a coach with our Club since the beginning. During that time she has coached the 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 teams. Her coaching honors include 1995-96 & 1999-00 Coach of the Year, 1996 Regional Champions - HOA (18), 1996-97 Most Valuable Coach, 2001 1st Place Silver at the Northeast Qualifier in Baltimore (14). 15 National Coach:Deanna Koehly - This is Deanna's second year with the club. She grew up in Lemont, Illinois and played volleyball throughout her high school career. She played for numerous club teams in the Chicagoland area including Express and Unlimited, VBC. After graduating from high school Deanna played briefly at University of Central Missouri State. She has continued to play recreationally and loves coaching. 15 Regional Coach: Andrea Crutcher - We are excited to have Andrea join our club. Andrea graduated from Park Hill High School where she was part of the 1997 State Volleyball Championship team. She attended Fort Hays State University where she played volleyball all four years. Andrea has coached club for different clubs in Fort Hays Kansas and mostly recently in Oklahoma. She has also helped run camps at both the high school and collegiate level. 14 National Coach: Mindi Shupe-This is Mindi's 3rd year coaching, but she been playing volleyball since high school. She currently manages a women's HOA team and have done so for about 6 years. Mindi played basketball, volleyball, track and softball in high school lettering in all 4 all 4 years. She ran track at Northeast Missouri State University. Growing up in a small town in Kansas, Derick participated in four sports all four years of high school and went to Baker University on a track scholarship all three years in college. Derick enjoyed coaching both basketball and baseball for young kids for three years and is bringing his love for coaching to volleyball. 14 Regional Coach: Tracy Wiesehan - This is Tracy's third year with the North Stars VBC. She has been playing volleyball for the past nine years, and currently enjoys playing. Tracy graduated from Rockhurst College this past Spring, where she majored in Psychology. Tracy currently coaches 6th grade at Barstow Middle School. .
  14 Regional Coach: Mandy Bonino ~ Mandy has been associated with the club not only as a player but a coach as well. For the past eleven years she has coached the 12, 13, & 14 age groups.   13 Regional Coach: Joy Isaacs ~ Coach Joy is eager to begin coaching with the North Stars! She just finished up her second year of coaching middle-school girls at Barstow. Born and raised in Topeka, Kansas, Joy played club volleyball growing up as well as playing both volleyball and softball in high school. Joy's coaching philosophy is one consisting of hard work and enthusiasm. She believes that if you work hard and have fun, winning is a natural byproduct. Joy considers teamwork and communication to be two of the most important aspects of the sport, and skills that players will need to learn and use throughout their lives. She works full-time in accounting at a commodities brokerage firm, and is also currently finishing up her Political Science degree at KU. joy.isaacs@gmail.com

13 Regional Coach: Jake Isaacs ~ Jake is excited to be joining the North Stars family for the first time this year. Jake recently finished up his first season as head coach for a middle school team at a local private school in the Kansas City area. While attending college at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Jake volunteered as the strength and conditioning coach for the women's volleyball program and played for the Haskell baseball team. This season Jake wants to build on the fundamentals of the game, and provide a solid foundation in order to help make the girls successful at the next level of volleyball. jake.c.isaacs@gmail.com
